How it Works
The Process
With me as your Celebrant, I will look after all of the Legal Paperwork and guide you through the planning process with lots of helpful information to ensure a stress free lead up to your wedding. Here’s how it works:
1. Choose your date
Choose your date and give me a call on 0413 676 436 or send me an email. I will ask a few questions, send you some information, and organise a time to meet.
2. Choose your package
Remember that I can customise Packages for you too if what you see isn’t quite what you need. Don’t forget, you can also book me to be your MC or for on the day coordination. View my packages here.
3. Lodging your Notice of Intended Marriage
I can send this to you. This needs to be done a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 18 months prior to your ceremony (unless you have a valid reason for shortening of time). We will get together in person or over zoom for you to sign and me to witness your signatures. You will also need ID documents - Birth Certificates and Driver’s Licences or Passports and if married before, proof of how the last marriage ended.
4. Ceremony outlines and options
I will send you my ceremony outlines and options, which is full of helpful information to help plan your ceremony. I'll also include questionnaires so that I can get to know you and your partner better and to give me some fun details about you both.
5. I create your beautiful ceremony
You may choose to see this prior to the day or have it as a surprise - up to you!
6. We get together
We meet 1-2 weeks prior to your ceremony to have a run through and to go over the final details.
7. On the day
I will be there 30-60 minutes prior to your ceremony (depending on your chosen Package) to check in with you both and set up ready to deliver your awesome ceremony.
8. Wedding day legalities
You will both need to sign the No Legal Impediment to Marriage prior to your ceremony and 3 documents after your ceremony which I will prepare and have ready for you. You will also need 2 witnesses who are 18 years or over to sign as well.
9. Marriage registration
Following your ceremony I will register your marriage with Births, Deaths and Marriages and ensure all legal requirements are met.
10. Optional Certificate of Marriage
I can order your Official Certificate of Marriage for you from Births, Deaths and Marriages (Approximately $67) which will arrive at your chosen address Registered Post 1-3 weeks after your ceremony.
